at the head of the table
Led by Eric Lundy, aka Head Snoot, the team here at SF serves up lighthearted culinary snobbery (a la spectacular cooking, done right) with a wink and a hearty dash of flavor, education, and fun with his Snooty French classes, cuisine and events.
A native of California who was Midwest-raised, Eric is a Chef, recipe developer, food stylist, cooking instructor, and all-around bon vivant. Among his recent accomplishments, Eric was a Senior Editor at GFF Magazine and a Culinary Instructor at San Francisco Cooking School. He spent many years as creative director for a premier event/catering company in Detroit and manager for a Michelin-starred restaurant and gourmet shop in Manhattan. In these roles he perfected the art of snootiness before returning to California with his husband, Barry, to share the joys of elevating entertaining experiences in a more intimate setting (i.e. his home or yours!).
Eric has contributions to several cookbooks and food magazines, he knows how recipes work and teaches you what you need to know to have confidence in the kitchen. When his apron’s off, you can find him cooking, hiking, biking, eating out, entertaining, and exploring exciting food and wine regions around the globe.

Our kitchen is always open for you! Classes, may they be virtual or live, are held right in Eric's cozy home kitchen. Stocked with the supplies you may need to perform the various functions of a snoot, the kitchen at Maison Snoot provides the perfect example of both essentials and luxuries.
